Reflections on mysticism,
healing & spiritual growth

When We Meet In Heaven
I think in some futuretime,
when we meet in heaven
and sit down for a cup of coffee,
we'll probably ask each other
"What did we teach each other?"
"Why were we connected?"

And I think in that new,
borderless heavenplace,
everything will seem clearer.
We'll see the why of things
instantly, without barriers.
Looking back on those old bodies
we wore, we'll know exactly
what one soul was saying
to the other,
and why, and why.

Here, of course, in this worldspot,
where happiness is finite,
our real communication
is never quite apparent or obvious.
We talk about this and that
and that and this,
but underneath the patter
our souls are saying the real stuff.

My guess is
that when we meet in heaven
at the consumate coffee shop,
we'll start laughing at the fools
we used to be, back when we lived
inside our bodies., thinking
the body was all there was.

But there we'll be, doing coffee,
fully luminous at last,
exchanging a moment of gratitude
for the lessons we once exchanged,
and the love that flowed
even if we didn't see it.
